Provides potentized enzymes, nutrients and homeopathic substances for the repair, function and support of Pituitary and Hypothalamus health and function
The Master
Because the pituitary regulates the workings of the whole glandular system, it is often referred to as " the master gland". It controls growth and regulates sex hormones.
Lying near the base of the brain above the palate, it is the real mental office of the body. It coordinates and stimulates the thinking process. It also regulates the output of the adrenal glands, determines the electric and magnetic force in the body, and handles, in cooperation with the thyroid, the sugars and starches that are taken into the body.
The pituitary releases a great many hormones that promote or inhibit the release of other endocrine hormones, indirectly controlling such basic processes as rate of growth, metabolic rate, water and electrolyte balance, blood pressure, kidney filtration, ovulation and lactation.
The pituitary itself responds to hormones released by the brain region known as the hypothalamus, serving as the physiological link between the nervous and glandular systems.
When the body is under stress, spiritual, biochemical or structural, or even when functioning normally, its cells, tissues, glands and organs, must be nutritionally replenished, constantly.
These cells, tissues, glands and organs, all perform special functions---functions requiring special nutrients to use not only for normal maintenance but also as tools in the execution of the overall cellular, organ and glandular mission. In the case of proper pituitary gland health and function, we can thus see the absolute significance of insuring adequate continual nutrient supply.
These specific nutrients include vitamins, minerals, enzymes, hormones and other intracellular elemental components.
They are either provided by the sun, air , water, many of our foods or may be supplemented.
Factors, Signs and Symptoms related to Pituitary Dysfunction:
General Considerations:
We may consider the need for pituitary support as having a role in all endocrinopathies (glandular faults), and it may be considered as the universal focus for ideal nutrient support, as with proper support, its functioning aspects act as a synergist to most other nutrient, functional and structural needs in the body.
Pituitary support is useful in all cases where fullest response is desired or where other measures may prove lacking.
The effects of ideal pituitary support have been particularly noted as:
Beneficial for digestive processes Influential in blood sugar problems Promotional of healing processes
The most prominent indication for the need for pituitary support is "nervous" fatigue associated with stomach ulcer syndrome.
Another strong indication is in thyroid cases, the pituitary almost invariably being an intervening factor whether hypo or hyperthyroidism is concerned.
The trophic (nourishing) effects upon the male and female gonads are also to be considered.
Clinical Considerations
Prominent Clinical Signs and Symptoms
1. Usually involve mental processes and metabolic changes (including healing, blood sugar and fluid balance problems, fat distribution, etc) Most common characteristic is fatigue associated with nervousness.
Possible Etiological Background:
General state of pituitary glandular insufficiency
2. Fatigue
("Nervous" exhaustion from excessive mental stress and overactivity) Possible Etiological Background:
General state of glandular insufficiency
3. Stress intolerance
(instability, inability to work under "pressure" of most thyroid cases, either hypo or hyperactive. and other symptoms related to thyroid function)
Prolonged stress often results in adrenal exhaustion.
Adequate Pituitary support acts as a preventive.
Possible Etiological Background:
The pituitary is in the etiological background
4. Digestive complaints
(Gastro-intestinal involvements such as ulcers, colitis, diarrhea, gastritis)
Possible Etiological Background:
Possibly related to sex hormone , general glandular insufficiency over which liver and pancreas influence as well as pituitary has governing influence
5. Metabolic disorders
(Fluid balance, blood sugar levels, weight distribution, growth, etc. Typical examples: headaches (migraine); edema, obesity, vaso-motor disturbances, etc.
Possible Etiological Background:
Trophic (nutritional) control of pituitary, probably under influence of adrenal
6. Delayed healing response (Inflammatory, ulcerative or festering lesions which fail Or are slow to heal)
Possible Etiological Background:
Adrenal-gonad diathesis may be concerned via trophic pituitary primarily influence.
7. Nervous manifestations
(Autonomic storms, tachycardia, Dysphagia, photophobia, pyloric Spasms and other symptoms of Autonomic imbalance.
Possible Etiological Background:
Influence of pituitary through the adreno- sympathetic nervous system.
Lab and Other Test Considerations:
Test : Need for Pituitary support shown by:
Basal Metabolic Rate Either increased or decreased
Blood Sugar Increased, but may be decreased also
17-Ketosteroid Test Above or below normal (14 to 16 mg)
Based on the individual constituents listed in the ingredients below, the therapeutic possibilities of this formula include:
The considerations outlined in detail above, as well as specifically:
Use as a Glandular synergist-Since the pituitary controls the whole endocrine gland system, it is recommended for use with other gland supportive protocols. Users report, for example, that pituitary support and adrenal support used together are more than twice as powerful as adrenal support alone.
Hypoglycemia-Blood Sugar levels are controlled by at least five hormones produced by the adrenals, pancreas and pituitary. Pituitary support helps restore the needed endocrine balance among them.
Female Infertility-Pituitary hormones orchestrate the numerous complicated events of ovulation, fertilization, and implantation. Pituitary support should be included in any nutritional approach to enhanced fertility.
Suggested Dosage/Directions for use:
Adults, one teaspoon, 2-3 times daily or as otherwise directed
Liquetrophics:
1.May be taken away from meals or with meals, although not with hot foods (over 106 degrees)
2.Refrigerate after opening
3.Liquetrophics and other homeopathics should be taken 20 minutes apart
4.Liquetrophics may be taken at the same time with other liquetrophics Exception: Fatty Acid Liquetrophic and Thyroid Liquetrophic should not be taken at the same time with other homeopathics or Liquetrophics--- wait at least 20 minutes apart
5.Do not store in sunlight
CAUTION: Alcohol sensitivities: If a person is sensitive to alcohol, place dose in a glass (3 oz.) of warm (not hot) water. Allow one minute for the alcohol to evaporate.
General Homeopathic instructions for all homeopathics:
1.Take nothing by mouth 10-15 minutes prior to or following dosage . Exception: Liquetrophic homeopathics may be taken this way or with meals
2.No mint in any form, such as candy mints, mint toothpaste, mint mouthwash. Most fine healthfood Stores carry mint free toothpaste.
3.Avoid camphor, as in muscle and joint rubs, and moth ball fumes when taking homeopathics.
4.If dental drilling or trauma to mouth occurs, use only topically for 48 hours
5.Limit breathing of strong smells, such as paint thinner, eucalyptus, cigarette smoke (especially menthol)
6.Limit raw garlic, onions, strong spices to one hour away- before or after taking homeopathics
7.Place drops under tongue and hold for 10-30 seconds to allow for absorption
8.Keep homeopathics out of direct sunlight and xray
9.Homeopathics may generally be taken at the same time with other suggested homeopathics. Exception: Liquetrophics homeopathics should homeopathics not be taken at the same time with other
